Coach Stephanie Castillo

Howdy, Cyclones!

I’m Coach Stephanie, and I’m beyond excited to kick off my third season with the Cyclones—this time as your head coach! I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2022 (Gig ‘Em!) and currently work as an elementary PE teacher in Cy-Fair.

Swimming has been a huge part of my life. I started at the age of 5, swam competitively until I was 18, and spent just as many summers swimming in summer league. I also have years of experience teaching swim lessons at Fleet, so you could say the pool feels like home to me!

Outside of coaching and teaching, I love spending time with my two dogs, who are basically my kids, and unwinding after a long day. Swimming is one of my greatest passions, and I can’t wait for another incredible season with our amazing swimmers and parents.

Let’s go, Cyclones!

Assistant Coach

Hey Cyclones!

Hello! My name is Mario Marquez, and I’m excited to be part of the Cypress Cyclones family! I’m 21 years old and was born and raised right here in Houston, Texas. I graduated from Cypress Falls High School and am currently pursuing a degree in Accounting at BYU-Idaho.

Swimming has been a huge part of my life since the age of 4. Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience competing in Summer League and in both the high school level and with Fleet Swimming, which has helped shape my passion for the sport.

As a coach, my goal is to help each swimmer grow in not only in skill, but in confidence. I’m passionate about creating a positive, encouraging environment where swimmers feel motivated to work hard, achieve their goals, and most importantly, have fun along the way.

I’m truly looking forward to working with your swimmers and being part of an amazing season!

Go Cyclones!
